To start with we have to say that our sit is not an easy one. We live on a big property in the jungle, close to the ocean and quite remote. We have 2 dogs who are used to go on 2 walks a day and 2 cats. This is at the same time very beautiful but also means quite a bit of work. Having Kath and Aaron stay at our house and take care of our pets and home made us enjoy our vacation to the fullest as we knew everything was under control at home. We got regular updates and pictures of our pets. If something unusual came up we could easily communicate with them and they were able to manage everything in a very professional and trustworthy way. The sit was during the end of a very hot dry season that just wouldn’t end. As water has to be used carefully, watering the gras and plants was limited. They checked with us about how to deal with this situation and did everything right. Kath and Aaron also had to drive our cleaning lady and gardener. Both of them and our neighbours and friends were full of praise about what kind people Kath and Aaron are. We came home to happy pets, a clean home and pool and a garden that survived a period of extreme heat and a long dry season. Having Kath and Aaron stay with us was one of our very best housesitter experiences. Our pets were happy to see us but just as sad to see Kath and Aaron leave. I am sure they had a wonderful time and got a lot of attention. Consider yourself lucky if Kath and Aaron accept your sit. We would be happy to welcome them again at our home.

Unfortunately this pet sit turned into house sit, as we lost our beloved Brassy a week before Kath and Arron were scheduled to care for her. We had every confidence that they were up to the responsibility of an older dog with some health issues. There were still some household tasks ie, watering plants, fixing lunch for and transporting our housekeeper, keeping the birds, both hummingbirds and others, happy with food. Kath asked if there was anything specific that we wanted reports on, and without the care of our Brassy, we had no need for updates. Although, they did let us know about trees that had fallen because of winds, which our landlord took care of. The house was in excellent condition when we got home and was obvious they had taken the time to clean for our return. Kath made sure to leave us a note on when plants had been watered so we could keep on schedule. I specifically appreciated them leaving papaya and bananas for bird feeding! They are a delightful couple and I have complete faith that they would handle any responsibilities they were given.

Great couple and wonderful people! Kath and Aaron stayed on our house in Coronado Panama for 3 weeks. This was the first time we have used a house-sitting site and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Aaron took great care of the pool which was a major concern for me as it is very hard to correct a problem with water quality. The house and grounds were immaculate upon our return and our fish didn’t have any signs of PTSD, Cindy speaks to him a lot and apparently so did Kath. We would very much love to have them back for our next trip and would highly recommend them for any house-sitting assignments for other people. We received many updates on our pets – through videos, voice messages,  texts, anecdotes and stories about what they were up to. Kath left behind a daily diary so we could be rest assured that our animals, house and garden were in the best care every day. It’s hard to find people in life who are so kind and caring. They  were perfect strangers to us. And yet they felt like family while we were away. We couldn’t recommend better people on this site. Since my husband and I were away for over five months this year, I was quite concerned about leaving my two cats, Phoebe & Joey.   It is very important to me that they receive the love and attention that they are used to. 

Kath elimated my concerns by regularly sending messages about their sit and forwarding pictures of the cats, which allowed me to see that the cats were happy and relaxed with their temporary family. The cats adopted Kath and Aaron without a problem! 

There were a few minor maintenance issues at the house during the house sit which Kath & Aaron were able to handle without any problems.  It is comforting to know that both your pets and home are well looked after while you are away.

Overall, Kath & Aaron are the best house/pet sitters we have ever had.  I look forward to having them house/pet sit for us again in the future.

Kath and Aaron took care of our property (one acre) meticulously … we came home to an immaculate home, a well maintained garden, my car in pristine condition and a very happy, contented cat. As you can see by the dates of this sit, it was right at the very scary beginning of the Covid19 pandemic. So along with the very positive review I would leave for Kath and Aaron, I can also let you know how they deal with emergencies. I was in Southern California in my camper van on March  13 when Trudeau told Canadians to come home and my travel insurance notified me that I would only be  covered for 10 more days. Kath and Aaron were operating under the assumption that they would be at the house until April 6. I was forced to change plans and arrive home 3 weeks early. But I had no choice in the matter. They had sits subsequent to mine falling through and no fixed address to go to. It was a complete mess. But they kept very cool about it and with the two of us working diligently and cooperatively, we managed to solve everything. They even bought my groceries for me as I came home to self isolate. I came home to two exceptionally well cared for dogs and a clean house. Kath and Aaron are great in every sense of the word and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

As it  happened, we were planning a short trip which coincided with their plans to visit Cyprus in October. These two people are very much in tune with  animals and their  obvious love for all creatures was immediately apparent. We were delighted to offer these intrepid travellers a few nights of r and r before they took on the task of caring for our zoo. What a splendid job they did too. In fact when they came to leave, our crew lined up to wave goodbye with Iain wiping the dogs’ eyes with a hanky. A very funny moment. Trusted House Sitters ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 

Kath and Aaron stayed at our home four weeks and did a great job “sitting” our seven acres, eleven chickens, & 12-year old puppy. Their lengthy experience as trusted sitters was demonstrated in many ways including: sending us  photos and fun updates about the dog and her favorite walks, keeping a calendar of days watering the plants & other notes, having dinner & cake waiting for us after our long journey home in an immaculately clean home. We were also pleased they were comfortable with country life, especially using the woodstove as the primary source of heat (instead of the easy, expensive electric). A charming couple, we know the community, as well as our animals, appreciated their company. We look forward to connecting with them again in this wonderful crossing of paths.

Kath and Aaron – house sitters extraordinaire!

We began our introductions across the web chatting about ourselves to get to know each other; when they arrived, our experience was as greeting old friends come to visit. Though we like to have more time with our sitters before we leave, having reviewed the house and met our cats via Skype earlier, we were satisfied that Aaron and Kath needed only a  brief intro to the house before  we set off on our holiday,  confident that our home and ‘furbies’ were to be well and truly looked after.

During our trip, Kath sent photos and updates about Mac and Jack’s goings on that were reassuring and helpful.  We enjoyed our holiday in full confidence in Aaron and Kath’s care of our cats and home.

On return, we found our two cats very happy and relaxed and our home sparkling clean.  They took very good care of our house plants and orchids and I was thrilled to find everything where we usually keep it – there are few things ‘worse’ than coming home and not being able to find what one needs in the kitchen!  Their attention to detail ensured that everything was cared for in the best manner possible.  They also made us a wonderful dinner on return so we didn’t need to worry about cooking for ourselves.  

Importantly, both Kath and Aaron exude a calm confident manner that translates to happy and content animals. I was sad when they left as I wanted to spend more time getting to know them; I will definitely ask them to return, not just to house sit, but also to visit to deepen our friendship.

I absolutely and highly recommend them!

Canada House Sitters ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After spending much time under warm skies, Kath and Aaron wanted to experience a ‘winter’. Their wish was more than fulfilled as it turned out to be the coldest and most  snowy winter in history. To make matters worse, my snow shoveler never turned up. However, they never complained and got on with dressing up warmly and shovelling. When I came back after 6 weeks in Mexico, the house was spotless, the fridge full and Kath had even cooked a delicious curry for me. My dog Cajou ‘velcroed’ himself to Kath as soon as I had left and had male bonding days with Aaron. He even cried when they left. While away I received regular updates on the  house and Cajou and kept in touch through  Facetime. Kath and Aaron were wonderful people and great house sitters. I wish they could come back every winter but I think they might choose a slightly warmer place in the future. Some like it hot!

Trusted House Sitters  ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We loved Kath and Aaron! And our cat and dog loved them too! We got frequent emails and photos showing how our creatures were doing. It was a comfort to know they were taking care of our home and pets. The yard was well looked after including the annual  autumn raking of the leaves! The house was left in pristine condition, move in ready as they say. A very nice way to to come home after 43 days and 24 hours of flying. We had a thermostat issue while away and it was handled smoothly. We had made an error in booking our sitters (dates) and Kath and Aaron were very flexible and easy to work with. They came a day early to be shown  all the trails and to be orientated for our home. We want them to return!

Kath and Aaron took excellent care of my menagerie of of 8 cats and 5 dogs for 8 weeks. They prepared homemade food for them and went on daily walks. They are very capable of administering medications. They were well organized keeping track of expenses  and having plenty of food available. Kath was in constant communication with me about the what was happening with my pets. They both truly cared for the well-being of all of the animals and took immaculate care of my home. Kath and Aaron were  the best possible dog-sitters. I  was reluctant to leave my elderly dachshund for three and half months, but their thoughtfulness made the process bearable. They wrote often to tell us of our  dog’s antics, and the emails were both comforting and hilarious. The photos they sent were beautiful. But on a very basic level, there’s nothing like seeing a calm, happy photo of your dog to reassure you he’s fine. He absolutely adored them. The neighbours all loved Kath and Aaron too. They left our house and car sparkling clean. We would have them back at any time. So would our neighbours.

Kath and Aaron managed our small Cabina rental operation and took care of our three dogs for us for one week in February 2018. We found them to be very organized, communicative, reliable and honest. 

They took great pride in the work that they did for us and they treated the dogs as if they were their own. Our guests had a lovely time with them and they even became great friends with some of them of which they are still in touch with today.

They also managed our staff member well, and they left our house clean and organized.

We highly recommend them for taking care of a house, pets, or a small business.

Kath provided exceptional house sitting services while we travelled. We live on an acreage with a water (well) system that means we rely on hand wandering. Our orchards and established perennials would not have survived the drought without her diligent, consistent care. In addition, she picked fruit and tended our vegetable garden. We don’t have pets but she kept an eye on our bird feeders. We came home to a clean and tidy house and an incredible harvest. Our house sitting requirements were quite unusual and fairly demanding yet Kath remained grounded and flexible to our needs. What we really appreciated was her preparation, her organization, and her communication with us. We highly recommend Kath to others needing an honest and reliable house sitter.
